I’m a freelance Senior Designer and Art Director with bags of experience—30+ years working with creative agencies and in-house teams on everything from global campaigns to internal comms.

I’ve always been someone who likes to get stuck in, get to the point, and make things happen. I’m known for getting to the heart of a brief quickly, cutting through the noise and landing on a strong, workable idea without disappearing down endless blind alleys. No overthinking for the sake of it—just clear, effective creative that does what it’s meant to do.

Over the years I’ve worked across a wide mix of sectors, brands and projects—including employee engagement and employer branding—and I’m just as comfortable slotting into a team and cracking on as I am taking the lead and running with things myself.

I’m fully fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and AI tools like Firefly and Midjourney where they genuinely add value (not just for the sake of it).

Recent Experience

I spent the last 10 years working with McCann Synergy / McCann Worldgroup, delivering work across a wide range of Global Blue Chip clients including British Airways, Qatar Airways, L’Oréal, NatWest Group, Lloyds Banking Group, Sky Sports and plenty more.

The work covered everything from campaign development and brand comms to internal communications and employee engagement—across digital, print, motion and activation. A real mix, and exactly the kind of environment where being adaptable and thinking on your feet matters.

Before that (2001-2016), I worked freelance with a mix of agencies and in-house teams, building long-term relationships simply by being reliable, easy to work with, and getting the job done.
